COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This one-week module is part of the ERASMUS Course (EMRI) on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) which will provide the diagnostic imaging professional with a sound understanding of the basic physical principles that underpin MRI. The course format includes formal lectures accompanied by supervised tutorial Q/A sessions on MR physics – covering everything from basic NMR, T1 and T2, through to advanced neuro, body and cardiovascular applications. No previous knowledge of MR physics is assumed. The University of Dundee will award a certificate to successful candidates, and 20 CME credits will be applied for. An attendee limit of n=30 delegates is proposed in order to optimise focussed learning (including tutorial discussions with members of the faculty) and social networking. Delegates typically attend from a variety of disciplines, including Clinical Radiology, Medical Physics, Radiography and also staff/students from clinical or scientific university departments.
